Leadership
Prof. Amila Thibbotuwawa is the Chief Executive Officer of SysWise and a Professor of Logistics Engineering in the Department of Transport Management and Logistics Engineering at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
He holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering from École des Mines de Nantes, France, and a PhD in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Aalborg University, Denmark. With extensive international research and industry collaboration experience, including multiple industrial projects with Airbus Defence and Space (Germany), Prof. Thibbotuwawa has contributed to research initiatives across France, Denmark, Poland, Germany, and the United States.
His work focuses on optimizing supply chains and logistics systems, and he is a member of IEEE. He is widely recognized for his research contributions, with 100+ international publications and 15+ book chapter contributions, along with a strong track record of research grants and awards.
